"Meditative"



Sometimes there's forces within you that tells you what picture to paint. This is such one. Being occupied with clearing and relaxing the mind, I somehow ended up imagining some kind of meditative resting place visually - complete with floating rivers, organic shapes, puffy graphic clouds and pleasant colors - all set in a high-key environment. This is the experimental result of those thoughts and visions.

James Wood sketches

Sketches based on James Wood sketches/artwork. I love the fluidity and cartoony simplifiedness he manages to push into his characters. Wish my own things had some of the same qualities, so I sat down and "redrew" some of his sketches.

Will be doing more of these sketch-another-artists-work pages. Next one will be Cory Loftis and then back to some more Brett Bean.
