"Out of My Comfort Zone" Part 1: Zombie Portrait

Out of My Comfort Zone Part 1: Zombie Portrait

Inspired by a teacher-given task given to a classmate - I decided to do a similar task for myself, creating a piece in the opposite direction of my typical comfort zone. This was an adventure into the dark, the creepy, the nasty and the gross - resulting in this zombie portrait. Aside from the joy and struggle of the painting proces, it was also quite a personal challenge for me to look at the reference pictures I had helping me along the way, because in all honesty - some of them were really nasty.

Hope you enjoy the result. Next up in "Out of My Comfort Zone" will be some cute manga-faerie-girl with delicious thighs and pleasant colors! So stay tuned!

Finally zoo again

Spent some of my 22th birthday with my family at the zoo in Aalborg - It's been a while since I've had the chance to sketch animals from life - it was a pleasant reunion. I particularly loved the sleepy sea lion and the lioness - both of them would occasionally sneakpeek from their nap to see if I was still studying them.

And continuably awesome holidays to those following my blog!

Tribute to 24 hours

After having spent...approximately 8 days of my life watching 24 hours with Jack Bauer - I felt I owed him a little tribute, so I felt like drawing Jack doing what he does second best; Yelling "WHERE IS IT?!"

Most of this picture is study from picture - but several things adjusted and changed to fit my interpretation
